www.eastgreenwichri.lionwap.org- Our club has been a service organization in the town of EG for 73 years, primarily assisting those persons with sight disabilities, but also individuals with any type of assistance if we can. We have numerous activities throughout the year that may be of interest to the residents in the area, including the running of a golf tournament and road race as fundraisers. We also distribute food baskets to the needy in our town during the holiday season.

Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center- You CAN make a difference! Assist victims, work to make your community safer, or help support the work of the agency. Volunteers are essential to the success of our programs. Volunteer opportunities: Hotline Volunteer, Court Advocate, Senior Support Volunteers, Residential Advocate, Child Care Advocate, Speakers’ Bureau, Special Events Assistance.

Providence Rescue Mission- We serve the poor with dignity and respect. We feed and cloth the addicted and homeless; our doors are open to all, free of charge. We are able to do this because of you who faithfully, month after month, donate your time, materials and resources to us. We are a faith based organization. The Providence Rescue Mission provides evening meals 7days/week and serve 2 Thanksgiving dinners, on the Saturday before and on Thanksgiving day for which they need volunteers. Call ahead 648-6849.  Their organization is 98% volunteer and they need help in administrative areas.  Other ways to get involved with the Providence Rescue Mission include help with administrative work and data entry and they serve evening meals 7 days a week for approximately 100 people each night. They need volunteers each night. Gregg's Restaurant collects new toys for the PRM if you would like to donate that way. For more information, call 274-8861 or go to www.providencerescuemission.org.

Blue Star Mother's- a group chartered by Congress during WWII for anyone who has a child deployed. The group offers support to each other and to the troops abroad. Anyone interested, please contact Cathy Turner at 615-9625 or at cathyturner@cox.net


A Wish Come True- Fulfilling wishes to children living in Rhode Island & areas of Southeastern Massachusetts is possible because of the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Whether providing administrative support, organizing fundraisers, or wish granting, our volunteers are the reason these children’s wishes come true! Through the hard work and commitment of volunteers we are able to continue to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions each year!

RI Food Bank- For twenty-five years, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has worked to ensure that every Rhode Islander has access to the healthy, nutritious food they need. The Food Bank distributes approximately nine million pounds of food to Rhode Islanders in need through a network of nearly 400 member agencies.

East Greenwich Women's Club, is selling raffle tickets to raise money for the scholarships they give to East Greenwich high schoolers, see Irma Larsen ibelieveinsanta@cox.net if you'd like to purchase tickets. They will also hold a craft show on November 1st.
